Junior Year

Aug. 17th, 2006 | 07:28 pm
This is Bob, he'll tell you how I'm feeling: stressedstressed
music: September- Earth, Wind, and Fire

I can't believe how hard junior year is and it's only the fourth day. I'm really regretting that I'm taking all AP classes, am I crazy? In the past two days I have made over four hundred note cards, four hundred! Every night I've been staying up past twelve and during lunch time I do homework. I just feel like complaining, it helps me get through the days.........................help! eek!

I did find my perfect school though, Berklee College in Boston. They have a songwriting major and its a music school but has core classes like a regular college. I find my self being so obssesive compulsive now because I'm already starting to thinking about what I'm going to sing and play for the audition and what I'm going to wear. I think IM CRAZY. Why would anyone think of an audition that will be a year from now ?!?!

PURA VIDA

This is Bob, he'll tell you how I'm feeling: optimisticoptimistic
music: Arjona

Costa Rica is like a long lost memory. It reminds me so much of Paraguay and of my childhood. Everyone is polite and friendly and my host family is kooky and eccentric, I love it. They had me sing Shakira more than 5 times and have been told many nice compliments, every once in a while I  think everyone needs compliments. Every day it rains about 3 in the afternoon and then it leaves everything cool and fresh. Mountains surround San Jose and a mysterious mist covers them. There are so many people who live in poverty yet they live life hapilly. Everyone knows everyone, including their business and any place you need to go is either in walking distance or by bus. People give their kindness and hospitality and are helpful to any questions. Its funny how my spanish has flown back to me and now I find myself thinking in it and wanting to immerse myself so much in the culture. Everything is so simple here. People love even if theres nothing to love and they give even if they have nothing to give. They also have bon bon's, milka, and kinder chocolate, which are by far the best chocolates ever.

All my preconceived notions and worries have dissapeared except for the whole going to bars with other students and wanting to know how thats going to work out. I'm also the only person in high school in the program. Hopefully I can pass as 21.I think its funny how my host mother offered to help me get a fake I.D. Man I  love this place.

music: Annual-by yours truly

Things I've realized this weekend:

-not to change guitar strings 10 minutes before I sing.

-that I can sometimes be tactless and inconsiderate

-to not expect so much from people.

-I love my family very much even though most of the time I can't stand them.

-I'm apperantly pregnant and getting engaged

-studying should not be left to the last minute (i think I knew that one though)

-I'm not the one, I don't know what made me think I was. I'm tired of waiting.

MUSIC fest!

May. 4th, 2006 | 09:40 pm
This is Bob, he'll tell you how I'm feeling: overworked

Saturday, May 6, 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. the coolest place in Houston to be? The Unitarian Fellowship, 1504 Wirt Road 77055. Yes, that's right. In the backyard. Get some of Bob's Magical Pop Corn, scope out the lawn for the blanket spot, sit, open cooler, relax. Please look for the police officer directing traffic in the street and park on Shady Villa. The sidewalk will lead you to the Festival. The schedule is as follows.

Indoors:
5:00 P.M. Ed McCullough, Chronomatic Harmonica. Harmonica as you have perhaps never heard it before. Not sure what church Ed goes to or really anything abut Ed, but he's at every Music Festival. Does he show up it photographs?
5:20 Rob and Heather. Rob and Heather are a daughter, father, guitar, vocal duo. They attend Northwest UU.
5:40 Ceci and Jack. Guitar and vocals. Ceci attends Bay Area UU and is a member of the YRUU. When not studying she delights in creating Intelligent Design theories to share with her classmates. Don't know Joe.
6:00 Nelson Thompson. Human whistler! Nelson is from Bay Area UU. Nelson likes to whistle. Whistling is cool. Sure to inspire your personal whistling pursuits.
6:20 Jennifer Bosch. Violin. Jennifer attends Northwest UU.
6:40 The Flute Choir. From Northwoods. Hot Chicks and G.Mike.
7:00 NOORE KAVIR DANCE. Belly Dance. Back by popular demand. Men please apply a bit more deodorant this year before attending.
7:35 Norman Nadorff. Guitar and key board. Norman attends Northwest UU.

OUT DOOR STAGE
5:00 P.M. Drunken Meditation. First UU. Rely on the teen rock band to require a PG-13 rating. They promised stage blood. They better bring lots of it.
5:30 Yellow Dog Howlers. Thoreau UU. The minister sings.
6:00 WWW.Hybridkarma.com Northwoods UU. Walton Walker, G Craig, G Mike, G Mark.
6:30 Blue Notes. Unitarian Fellowship. Hard core blues, excellent harmonica.
7:30 Waldo. Emerson UU. Last year they did, I think it's titled Johnny's Garden off the Stephen Stills, Manasas album. That was good to hear.
8:00 Fire Spinning. Northwoods. Real live fire spinning.
8:20 Gorilla Dance Band. Northwoods UU. Performing Texas Psychedelic Funktm. Includes $10.99 psychedelic light show for free!! Be sure to get some Gorilla Wear to prove you've been there.

So come see Jack and I play and what not we'll be offering free sexzz all day long! "When not studying she delights in creating Intelligent Design theories to share with her classmates. Don't know Joe." wtf? I don't even know...

Maybe we're all looking for our own problems.
I think I need relax and have fun this weekend. That's what I need. And coffee as well. + going to the zoo + some Ian and Ceci go to togo's on the side.
